Man arrested for assaulting minor boy in Swabi

SWABI: An eight-year-old boy was assaulted in Razaar tehsil of Swabi district, police said on Monday.

The father of the child reported to Parmuli police station that Naeem Khan, a resident of Aman Kot village, assaulted his son.

Later, the police arrested the accused.

The police said that medical report would confirm either the accused was involved in the act or not.

Meanwhile, a man was killed in a firing incident, while police recovered the body of a youth, in different incidents on Monday.

Two persons exchanged fire over a trivial issue in Maneri Payyan village.

However, a passerby named Fazal Hadi, belonging to Pirtab Banda, received a bullet.

He was shifted to the district headquarters hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.

The Swabi city police registered an FIR against accused Asad Khan.

The Kalu Khan police recovered body of an unidentified 18-year-old youngster and placed it for identification in the police station.

The photo went viral on social media. However, his identification was not received till filing of this report on Monday evening.

The police said that the deceased was killed somewhere else and his body was thrown in the fields.
