MIRAMSHAH: Two people were killed and five others sustained injuries when rival groups clashed over a land dispute in Ghulam Khan tehsil of North Waziristan tribal district on Monday.

Police said that the clash occurred between the members of Sher Khel and Bori Khel groups over the ownership of a piece of land.

As a result of the exchange of fire, two people were killed and five injured. The dead were identified as Yousaf Khan and Rehmatullah.

They belonged to one group.

The five injured were shifted to the district headquarters hospital, Miramshah.

The police reached the area after the clash and controlled the situation. Later, they registered the case.
