SUMMER has started and with every passing day it is getting hotter. To add to the people’s miseries, the Sukkur Electricity Power Company (SEPCO) has resorted to unannounced loadshedding.
Since this is happens to be the holy month of Ramazan, and a lockdown is also in force owing to the coronavirus pandemic, the unannounced loadshedding causes immense inconvenience to people who are fasting. One is surprised that Sepco has failed to honour its earlier commitment of resorting to minimal loadshedding during the holy month.
As most people stay indoors because of the lockdown to beat the pandemic, the long hours of power shutdown makes it difficult for people to bear the heat.
The authorities are requested to ensure relief for the suffering people.
