CHAKWAL: Three persons were killed, while four others sustained injuries in three separate incidents, according to sources in police and Rescue 11222 on Thursday.

In the first incident, a coal trader was found murdered near a village, in the jurisdiction of Choa Saidan Shah Police Station.

The victim’s relatives and police said that Chaudhry Asmat Ali- resident of Choa Saidan Shah went to a coal mine near Aara Village to hatch a deal.

Talking to Dawn, Station House Officer Mohammad Zaraat Baloch said: “A few of hours later, someone called his younger brother and informed him that Asmat Ali was lying dead in front of his vehicle.

The second incident took place near Balkassar Village, where the body of a woman was found in a well. According to police, the victim was in her forties and suffered and had psychological issues.

“She was married 15 years ago and had three children. On Wednesday, she left her home and did not return for long which prompted her family members to launch a hunt for her,” a police official said, adding that relatives found her body in a well near the village.

In the third incident, the driver of a van died on the spot, after his vehicle crashed into a car on Talagang-Mianwali Road near Bilalabad Village. The deceased was identified as Azhar, 37.

Four others, including two children sustained critical injuries.

The injured were identified as Yunus 45, Adnan 17, five-year-old Aneesa Fatima and 10-year-old Hussain Abbas.

The injured along with the deceased’s body were shifted to City Hospital Talagang.
