PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal has said that world is facing a "dangerous virus" that has brought even a world power to its knees.

"There is a realisation that the power of nations is not determined [only] by their military capability, but by the protection of human resources," said PML-N lawmaker, citing the example of the United States.

He said that a handful of countries that have succeeded in controlling the spread of the virus had enforced strict lockdowns, had conducted mass testing and taken care of its sick. The countries that "shut their eyes like a pigeon", Iqbal said, are today losing lives "like autumn leaves".
