HYDERABAD: Alleged thief killed

HYDERABAD, Sept 7: An alleged thief was killed in an attempted burglary in the house of a villager in Moosa Kathiyan area within the jurisdiction of Tanoak police station early on Wednesday.

The Tanoak police have said that five persons trespassed into the house of Shahid Gadhi in Moosa Kathiyan early on Wednesday morning to commit theft. The inamtes woke up and offered resistance.

Police said that the thieves resorted to aerial firing to harass family members, who also returned the fire, killing one of the accomplices and others fled from the scene.

Police have lodged a case against five unidentified persons. The body was removed to the Civil Hospital where it was lying in the mortuary.

ROBBERY: Unidentified persons barged into the house of one Sadruddin Meo and looted cash and other valuable goods at gunpoint within the jurisdiction of the B-section police station on Wednesday. The bandits looted cash of Rs32,000, two cell phones and gold ornaments.
