CHITRAL: The vehicular traffic was disrupted on Booni Road after boulders and a mud avalanche hit it in Shogram village of Upper Chitral, stranding hundreds of passengers for hours.

Later, the machinery cleared the debris to enable the light vehicles to pass through it.

The Garam Chashma Road was also closed to traffic near Shoghor village in Lower Chitral when the flash flood caused by heavy rain overnight damaged it at a number of places.

Meanwhile, the wet spell in Chitral during the last week has affected the roads across the valley, including Booni, Terich, Laspur, Rech, Sheshi Koh and Birir.
