SARGODHA: Satellite Police on Monday arrested a man for raping and killing an 11-year-old boy.

In a press release, police claimed that the suspect had confessed to committing the crime.

A police officer, on condition of anonymity, said the suspect had disclosed that he was accompanied by two accomplices. When the victim boy identified one of them, they strangled him to save their skin.

Police said the postmortem report had been received and the suspect would be sent behind bar to face trial.

The victim boy, son of a nomad, had gone missing on Friday and Satellite Town police had registered an abduction case. His body was found in Lalazar Town on Saturday.

The officer sad a group of youth was active in the city and it was assaulting minor children.
