GUJRANWALA: A Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf member of Punjab Assembly was shifted to isolation ward of the Mayo Hospital on Monday after she tested positive for coronavirus.

On Saturday night, Ms Shaheen Raza was quarantined in DHQ hospital after symptoms of coronavirus. Her sample was sent to the laboratory. She was confirmed for the deadly virus on Sunday.

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar made a phone call to her and inquired after her. On the instruction of the chief minister, the MPA was shifted to Mayo Hospital and put on ventilator.

The legislator had been inspecting quarantine centres for some time. Some days back, she fell ill and she got treatment from private doctors and was later shifted to the DHQ hospital.
