GHALANAI/LANDI KOTAL: Three youngsters were killed and another was seriously injured in a collision involving three motorcycles at Ghazi Baig area of Haleemzai tehsil in Mohmand tribal district here, police said on Thursday.

The victims, identified as Kherullah, Rehan and Khan Zarin, were going on three motorcycles when they collided.

The injured, Sajjad Khan, was taken to a hospital in Peshawar in a precarious condition.

Local police registered a case and have started investigations.

In Landi Kotal, an official of the Excise and Taxation Department was killed while another sustained injuries in a road accident in Bara on Thursday.

Local police said that a vehicle of the Excise and Taxation Department was chasing a suspect in a car on Frontier Road when it hit a concrete wall after the driver lost control of the vehicle due to speeding.

They said that excise sub-inspector Kashif Jan died on the spot while inspector Naeem Khan sustained injuries.
