HARIPUR: Two persons assaulted a 12-year-old worker of a local eatery in the limits of the city police station, the police said on Tuesday. The accused were later arrested.

They quoted the victim, a resident of Mohallah Darziyan Darwesh, as saying that he was serving as waiter at a local eatery on Dheenda Road where two co-workers molested him on the afternoon of the second day of Eidul Fitr, and also threatened him of dire consequences if he attempted to disclose the incident to anyone.

The boy, however, informed his family, which took him to the police station, where an FIR was registered against the accused after initial medical report confirmed the assault.
