DADU, Sept 10: Two women died in the Dadu Civil Hospital and 20 others were admitted in Civil Hospital and private hospitals on Saturday. Gastroenteritis has spread in Dadu town. Two women, Ms Wahida Gopang and Ms Haleeman, died in the Civil Hospital.
Reports said around 20 people were admitted in government and private hospitals.
The civil surgeon of the Civil Hospital, Syed Ghous Ali Shah, advised people to use boiled water for drinking purpose.
He said that patients of gastroenteritis should contact doctors at the Civil Hospital where required medicines would be provided to them.
PROTEST: A large number of JSSF activists took out a rally to protest against the administration of the Sindh Agriculture University, Tando Jam, for rusticating six students from the university.
They were led by president JSSF president Ahmed Tunio. Protesters demanded restoration of admission of six students.
WALK: Social workers and NGO activists staged a walk here on Saturday against increasing poverty in the country.
They marched on different roads of the town. They were led by social worker Wafa Birhamani.
DEMO: A large number of growers staged a demonstration in the Johi town on Saturday to protest against an artificial shortage of water in the Johi branch.
They were led by the chairman of Abadgar Association, Johi taluka, Ghulam Qadir Rind.
The growers said that irrigation officials were selling water to influential persons and demanded to ensure water supply to their lands.
JSSF OFFICE-BEARERS: Magee Panhwar was elected president of the Jeay Sindh Students Federation, Dadu district, in the election held here on Saturday.
Alta Chandio was elected vice-president, Haled Panhwar as general secretary, Shahabad Panhwar as joint secretary and Maid Memo was elected finance secretary.
