PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has claimed that the federal government is "playing with hospital numbers" to fool people into believing that hospital capacities are not full.

"It pains my heart to say that our per capita mortality rate is now higher than India. My own city Karachi is suffering badly. The mortality rate is getting very dangerous now," he said.

"Please get your act together now because we are in full-blown war and you have left our doctors alone in this war." Bilawal also questioned the number of times that Prime Minister Imran Khan had "personally met" doctors, nurses and medical delegations since the start of the pandemic. "Not a single time!"
