MIRPURKHAS: A provincial minister’s son was among the four persons injured in a road accident near Old Mirpur locality along Sindhri-Mirpurkhas road late on Saturday night.

Kiran Kumar, son of Sindh Minister for Minority Affairs Hari Ram Kishori Lal, along with three other persons — his friend Prem Chand, body guard and driver — was travelling in his Vigo car when it overturned, residents of the nearby locality told the media on Sunday.

The area police transported the victims to the Mirpurkhas Civil Hospital. Security guards locked the emergency ward from outside while they were provided medical treatment. The main gate of the hospital was also locked and guarded until the injured persons were discharged.
