FAISALABAD: Five people were burnt alive while four others sustained burns when an oil depot caught fire at Chak 70, Mansooran, on the Jhang Road on Monday night.

City Police Officer (CPO) Sohail Chaudhry said that it was the oil depot, which purified used oil. He said five bodies had been retrieved from the unit, four workers were injured while one person was still missing.

The Rescue 1122 said it got information that the oil depot had caught fire due to unknown reasons. The rescuers controlled the fire after hectic efforts.
