LAHORE: A police officer has been kidnapped by unidentified armed men from his home in the Kahna area.

The officer has been identified as Sub-Inspector Amir Shahzad, a resident of Aleem Villas II, Faisal Town, Kahna.

His brother Asif Shahzad told the police that some 12 armed men entered the house of Amir on Friday, snatched his mobile phone, bundled him into a van and took him away. He said his brother had no enmity with anyone.

A police official said a case had been registered on the complaint of Asif against unidentified kidnappers.

He said Amir was very active on social media and used to target state institutions while uploading objectionable material against them.
