HARIPUR: A man was killed while his son critically injured when a speeding car hit their bike on GT Road near Paki Dohli village, police said here on Saturday.

Witnesses told the police that two persons were on way to Haripur from Abbottabad side on motorcycle when a car coming from the opposite side hit their bike, injuring both of them critically.

The rescue workers shifted the two injured to Haripur Trauma Centre where Misal Khan of village Chamba succumbed to head injuries while his son, Asif Nawaz was referred to Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad in critical condition.

Meanwhile, a man was shot dead over a minor dispute in village Qaziyan.

City police quoted Qazi Mohammad Faisal before he died in hospital as saying that the hens of his relative, Qazi Allah Yar entered his vegetable crop. He said when he attempted to chase them away Allah Yar and his father, Qazi Tasleem reached there armed with pistols and opened fire at him after exchange of harsh words, leaving him critically injured.

The injured was shifted to Haripur Trauma Centre. He died while being taken to Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad. The police said the accused were on the run.
