GWADAR: An officer of Frontier Corps, Balochistan (South), died and two other FC men were injured in a road accident at Coastal Highway near Ormara town in Gwadar district on Sunday.

Official sources said that the two FC officers, who were posted in Turbat, were on their way to Karachi by car. The vehicle met with an accident and turned turtle. As a result, Lt Col Ishtiaq Ahmed suffered serious head injuries and died. Major Shahbaz and the car driver, identified as Anwar Ahmed, received injuries.

Soon after receiving information about the accident, police and FC officials rushed to the site and shifted the body and the injured to Naval Hospital, Ormara.

Levies officials said that the drive had lost control over the steering wheel when one of the car’s tyres burst.
