SWABI, Sept 12: Swabi Qaumi Mahaz (SQM) chairman and member of NWFP assembly Dr Mohammad Salim has decided to contest district nazim election while rejecting the horse-trading and offering money to nazims and councillors.

The Swabi Jamhoori Ittehda, which comprises eight parties and the Awami National Party, had already announced their candidates for the district nazim, Swabi tehsil and tehsil Chota Lahore posts.

The brother of former MNA Rehmanullah, Amanullah Khan, is the ANP candidate and Shahram Khan is the SJI candidate for the nazim slots. Dr Salim has become the third candidate.

Dr Salim while talking to newsmen at a press conference said that it was quite strange that the politics of money has been introduced in the district, destroying the principles of politics and the intention of working for the welfare of the people.

The press conference was attended by the key members of the SQM and all of them said that the current phase of elections has destroyed the very roots of the politics and for discouraging the newly introduced trend they have decided to come into field.
