CHARSADDA: A youth was killed and four people got injuries when a boundary wall and a roof collapsed due to heavy rain and windstorm in different areas on Tuesday.

Raham Shah, 20, was killed when boundary wall of his house collapsed in Janokai Khwar area.

Four people, including three children, were injured when roof of their mud house in Sherpao area caved in due to heavy downpour.

The heavy rain and windstorm also damaged standing crops and orchards of peach, apricot and plum in Sherpao, Bahlola, Khanmai, and other localities.

Billboards and trees were also uprooted due to the windstorm. Power supply to most parts of the Charsadda district remained disrupted.
