NAWABSHAH: 8 policemen booked

NAWABSHAH, Sept 16: Eleven policemen, including an SHO, were booked for torturing a police constable here on Friday. On the directives of a local court, the A-section police registered a case under sections 337 A-1, 344 of the Qisas and Diyat Ordinance, 220 and 504 of the PPC against 11 police officials of the Sarhari police station, including SHO Khalid Hussain Junejo, ASI Ali Sher Jamali, ASI Nabi Bux Lashari, HC Wahid Bux Jalbani, constable Ghulam Sarwar and others.

The policemen reached at house of Constable Mehboob Ali in Taj Colony on Thursday, forcibly picked him and took him to the Sarhari police station where they tortured him. Sub-inspector Arshad Arain, on directive of the sessions court, reached at the Sarhari police station and recovered Mehboob Ali Rahu and produced him in the court.—BoC
