QUETTA: Four labourers were injured in a landmine explosion in the Pir Koh area of Dera Bugti district on Sunday, officials said.

Levies officials said the labourers in the Pathar nullah area were loading sand on a tractor-trolley when it hit the landmine. “Four labourers were injured seriously,” while the vehicle was destroyed in the blast, the officials said.

Personnel of law enforcement agencies rushed to the site after receiving information about the incident and shifted the injured labourers to Dera Bugti district hospital. Doctors described their condition as serious.

They were identified as Mohammad Din, Mazar Khan, Kamal and Lashkar Khan.

The Levies officials later registered a case against unidentified persons.
