DADU: The body of a 24-year-old youth with most of his organs — nose, eyes, ears etc — cut off and stab marks all over it was found dumped at a desolate place known as Looni Ji Nai near Jhangara village of Sehwan taluka on Thursday.

It was evident from the condition of the body that the killers had resorted to committing barbarism with the youth, the area police pointed out. They believed it must be a case of honour killing.

A dagger and a knife used in the crime were found lying near the body.

The victim was identified as Khalid Noohani, whose father, Mohammad Noohani, had submitted a missing report at the Jhangara police station on Thursday morning stating that his son did not return home and could not be traced despite a nightlong search.

The police also undertook a search and found the body lying at Looni Ji Nai. They went after the killers with the help of footprints but could not reach them till late in the evening. However, Jamshoro SSP Amjad Hussain Shaikh said they had almost reached the culprits.

He said the call data record and other evidence were collected and an investigation was going on.

Khalid Noohani’s body and its parts were taken to the Syed Abdullah Shah Institute of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro. Noohani community’s chieftain Sardar Hakim Ali Noohani accompanied the police when they visited the crime scene. Speaking to this reporter, he said he agreed with the police that it was a case of honour killing.
