Stan Lee Universe partners with Archie Comics

Genius Brands International has entered into a comic book publishing agreement with Archie Comics to publish comic books and graphic novels based on the never before exploited Stan Lee IP.

An iconic name in the comic books circles, Archie Comics is home to some of the most recognisable properties, including Archie, Betty& Veronica, Sabrina, Josie and the Pussycats and more. The initial property slated for publication as a comic book in partnership with Archie will be Superhero Kindergarten.

Genius Brands will develop seven new franchises per year, primarily targeted for families and kids.


‘Revolutionary’ smartwatch for kids

Children’s toy brand Little Tikes has detailed the launch of a ‘revolutionary’ new smartwatch for children, called the Tobi Robot Smartwatch. It ‘combines all the interactive features of a smartwatch’ with a playful robot that comes to life for kids to engage with.

The smartwatch includes dual photo and video cameras, a clip enabling its user to transform it from a watch to a Go Cam, a unique robot personality, and a number of built-in games and features for kids to entertain themselves with. The robot personality moves its arms and legs on the side of the watch and features more than 100 expressions.

The built-in pedometer track footsteps, additional practical features include calendar, alarm clock, stopwatch and timer. It is suitable for children aged four and upwards.


Dua Lipa goes fully animated

Pop superstar Dua Lipa has launched her latest music video, a retro-fusion animated trip crafted for the single “Hallucinate” off her second studio album, “Future Nostalgia”.

Inspired by the disco aesthetic of Studio 54 in the ‘70s and cartoons from multiple iconic eras, the video is a psychedelic animation extravaganza. Directed by The song is packed with eclectic and fun characters, including an animated version of Dua Lipa.

The project was completed entirely in isolation during the Covid-19 pandemic quarantine.
