LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi in the Punjab Sports Board “scam” investigation for Aug 17.

The NAB in a call-up notice to Mr Abbasi asked him to appear before a combined investigation team at its Thokar Niazbaig office to record his statement.

“The inquiry proceedings have revealed that you are in possession of information/evidence whatsoever which relates to the commission of the said offence. You are advised that failing to comply with this notice may entail penal consequences as provided in section 2 of the schedule of National Accountability Ordinance 1999.”

The NAB is also investigating former director general of the board, Zulfiqar Ghuman, and others in the case.
