KARACHI: A lady doctor committed suicide in Defence Housing Authority, police said on Wednesday.

They added that Dr Maha Ali Shah, 24, ended her life by shooting herself to death inside her home in Phase-IV over some “family issues”. Clifton SP Imran Mirza said that the female doctor shot herself in the head on Tuesday night. She was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where she died during treatment, said Dr Seemin Jamali, executive director of the hospital. Dr Jamali added that the young doctor was in critical condition when she was brought to the hospital and died after an hour.
