TAXILA: Two people were killed and seven others injured in separate incidents in Attock on Saturday, police said.

In the first incident, the body of a cloth merchant identified as Mohammad Sadeeq was recovered near Burhan Interchange in the limits of Hassanabdal police. The 55-year-old had left his house in Taxila for Faisalabad to purchase cloth but did not return. His cash and valuables are missing.

Raheem Khan, 18, a resident of Jehangira in Nowshera, drowned in River Indus in Attock Khurd. His body was later recovered and handed over to his family.

Moreover, a woman and her four sons were injured when their car rammed into a roadside electric pole at Golra chowk on Attock-Sanjwal road in the limits of Attock Saddar police.

The woman and her children were coming from Islamabad to Attock to meet their family.

The injured were shifted to hospital.

Two youth were injured when their car hit a truck due to speeding in Hazro.

The injured were shifted to hospital from where they were shifted to Rawalpindi due to their critical condition.
