TAXILA: Two persons were killed and seven others injured in separate incidents in Attock on Saturday, police said.

In the first incident, the body of a cloth merchant identified as Mohammad Sadeeq was recovered near Burhan Interchange in the limits of Hassanabdal police. The 55-year-old had left his house in Taxila for Faisalabad to purchase cloth but did not return. His cash and valuables are missing.

Raheem Khan, 18, a resident of Jehangira in Nowshera, drowned in River Indus in Attock Khurd. His body was later recovered and handed over to his family.

Moreover, a woman and her four sons were injured when their car rammed into a roadside electric pole at Golra chowk on Attock-Sanjwal road in the limits of Attock Saddar police.

The woman and her children were coming from Islamabad to Attock to meet their family. The injured were shifted to hospital.
