Women hockey championship starts today

LAHORE, Sept 20: The 21st National women’s hockey championship will be played at the Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium, Karachi from Sept 21 to Oct 3. The PHF Sindh women’s wing will organize the competition.

The women wing has appointed Shaista Javaid as tournament director.

Gulshan Nasreen and Ghazala Tariq are the tournament officers.

Dr Mohammad Khalil is umpires’ manager. A panel of judges and umpires have also been announced.

In the judges’ panel, Fareeda Jamil, Rahat Iqbal, Nausheen Tahir, Talaat Lubna and Uzma Rizvi are included.

The umpires’ panel consists of Rahat Khan, Humaira Masroor, Razia Rizvi, Shazia Yousaf, Rubina Nasreen, Farzana Rasool, Zulifqar Haider Shah, Haider Rasool, Syed Naseem Akhtar, Mir Ali Kurd, Gul Badin Khan, Muhammad Mushtaq.

The technical briefing of the tournament director will be held on Wednesday.
