DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Daraban police arrested four Afghans travelling without documents at Darazinda checkpost and registered a case against them.

Police officials said they stopped the suspects at the checkpost and demanded documents from them regarding residence and travel in Pakistan, but the suspects could not produce the same.

The arrested men were identified as Sultan, Dawood, Habibullah and Sajid.

Meanwhile, the police have finalised security arrangements for the mourners’ processions.

According to a statement issued on Monday, the police sealed 18 streets and roads for the mourners’ processions.

The police also set up a district control room, and the central wireless control room at Ejaz Shaheed police lines. They have also set up special checkposts at Chashma Barrage, Dera Darya Khan Bridge, Hathala, Ramak, Chunda and Darazinda.

The police have also sealed the entry and exit points of the Dera city, and installed security cameras at sensitive places.
