KHUZDAR: Four football players lost their lives in an accident on Quetta-Karachi National Highway in Mastung district on Tuesday.

Police said five members of the Kalat District Football Association’s team were on their way to Mastung town for taking part in a tournament there when their car collided head on with a truck coming from opposite direction.

Three footballers died on the spot while two others suffered serious injuries.

Police rushed to the site and took the dead and the wounded to Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Raisani Memorial Hospital in Mastung where one of the injured died during treatment. The deceased have been identified as Abdul Majid, Mohammad Aamir, Noor Mohammad and Abdul Malik and the injured as Mohammad Wasim.
