OKARA: Fifteen people have been tested positive during random test for coronavirus during the last 10 days or so in Okara.

Deputy District Officer Health Dr Gilani said these patients had been quarantined after three teams of the District Health Authority randomly conducted tests. These mobile teams are working in the field at Okara, Depalpur and Renala Khurd tehsils and took samples of people at crowded places such as shopping plazas and fruit and vegetable markets.

He said 15 people had been tested positive during a fortnightly campaign.

CANAL BREACH: Crops spreading over hundreds of acres were flooded with canal water when a big breach developed in the minor near Kot Charat Singh in Depalpur on Tuesday.

The fields were overflowing with canal water and it also entered the houses of Charat Singh. People started plugging the breach.

These programmes have been launched in various disciplines, including Botany, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Mathematics and Computer Sciences.
