KARACHI: A woman was burned to death in a Sachal locality on Saturday evening, said police and hospital officials.

They added that Humera, 27, was burnt in Bhitaiabad. She was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where she was pronounced dead on arrival, said Dr Seemin Jamali, executive director of the hospital.

Area SHO Haroon Korai said that the police were investigating the case.

The officer added that they were waiting for the final report of doctors to proceed further legally.
