No virus case reported in 29 Punjab districts

PUNJAB: First time since the coronavirus pandemic hit Punjab, as 29 districts reported no new confirmed case across the province during the last 24 hours.

With two more Covid-19 deaths, the remaining seven districts of the province reported 28 new confirmed cases of the virus, during the same period, according to the figures released by the health department on Monday.

Of them, 12 new patients tested positive for the virus in Lahore, six in Faisalabad and the remaining in Bahwalpur, Gujrat, Jhang, Gujranwala and Sargodha.

With the new patients, total number of the confirmed cases in Punjab has reached 96,769, according to the official figures.

Meanwhile, the health department has conducted 5,924 tests all over Punjab during the last 24 hours.
