They said the victims belonged to Kohistan district, but were staying here in Yar Hussain.

SHO Raz Mohammad told this correspondent that when they reached the victims’ home they were lying in a pool of blood and their two minor children were crying.

The couple was identified as Faizullah Khan and his wife. It was stated that the deceased woman married Mr Faizullah without the consent of her parents and soon after that had left their village and stayed in Yar Hussain.

The police have started investigations.

Meanwhile, a body of an unidentified man was found in the jurisdiction of Chota Lahor police station on Wednesday.

Residents informed the police who collected body of the killed man from the fields and placed it in the police station for identification.

LOW QUALITY ROAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf activists forced the contractor to stop construction work on a road leading to the Women University Swabi (WUS) and its sidewall over use of substandard material here the other day.

The one-kilometre-long road links the under-construction campus of the WUS with Topi-Maini Road.

Mohammad Khitab, PTI’s Topi tehsil deputy general secretary, told this correspondent that when the party workers pointed out low quality of work the contractor did not pay heed, thus forcing them to stop him from carrying out work.

“We also called the sub-divisional officer of the communication and works department to visit the site,” he said.
