PIA cuts fares on domestic, inbound flights

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a 10pc discount on domestic travel for senior citizens besides a reduction in fares on domestic and inbound flights.

The national flag carrier has reduced the fare by up to 20pc on domestic flights from Faisalabad to Karachi; one-way fare for these flights is Rs7,986. The airline will charge Rs10,191 per ticket for flights from Sukkur to Islamabad.

PIA has also announced a 15pc reduction of fares on inbound flights from Toronto to Pakistan.

The discount on tickets is applicable till Sept 15, while travelling dates are from Sept 7 to Nov 14.

The new reduced charges have been enforced with immediate effect.

The PIA has also announced a low-fare package for flights between Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad with 20kg of baggage; one-way fare for these flights will be Rs7,400 and two-way fare will be Rs13,500. The one-way fare for flights with 35kg of baggage will be Rs8,400 and two-way fare will be Rs15,000.

These discounts will enable people to travel and enjoy holidays before educational institutions are opened.
