KARACHI: Karachi Basketball Club and Nishter Club have qualified for the final of ongoing Defence Day Basket­ball being organised by Karachi Basketball Association at Abdul Nasir Basketball Court here at Arambagh.

In the first semi final, Karachi Basketball Club overcame tough opponents Omega Basketball Club after close fight 56-48. For the winners, Daniyal and Muhammad Riaz were the leading scorers with 18 points each. Zaheer (20) and Anas (19) played well for the losers.

In the second semi-final, Nishter Basketball Club beat Askari Basketball Club after exciting match. Ali Chenzeb, Muhammad Abbas and Asad Ali scored 15 points each for the winners. For the losing side, Shahmir Zaheer scored 17 points.
