SUKKUR: Two kidnapped for ransom

SUKKUR, Sept 24: Two persons were kidnapped by the Bugti tribesmen from New Pind, Sukkur, on Thursday. This was disclosed by the father of the hostage after receiving a phone call from the kidnappers on Saturday.

According to details, Asif Ali and Abid Ali of the Chachar tribe were kidnapped with their car.

Asif Ali’s father Ghulam Nabi registered an FIR after receiving a call for Rs one million ransom for their release.

KIDNAPPING: A cloth merchant, Mehboob Ali Siddiqui, was kidnapped on Saturday by three armed persons in police uniform from his shop at the Sukkur cloth market.

His brother Jawed Siddiqi was an elected nazim of the Awam Dost Panel from UC-8. He was under pressure to join the Khushhal Pakistan Panel.

PROTEST: More than 50 persons of the Shambhani tribe staged a protest demonstration in front of the press club on Saturday for arrest of the killers of seven Shambhani tribesmen.

They were killed two months ago near Salehpat.

The protesters alleged that police was not arresting the culprits deliberately, thought the killers had been identified.

CORPSE: A dead body of an unidentified 65-year old person was recovered from the stone crushing machine near Rohri on Saturday. Police shifted the body to the taluka hospital for identification.
