LAHORE: Jamaat-i-Islami chief Senator Sirajul Haq has called meeting of its Central Executive Council on Oct 7 at Mansoora to discuss the mass contact campaign against the government.

“This government can no more run on artificial oxygen and its ‘titanic’ is about to sink,” said JI chief, adding that the Jamaat will soon start a mass contact campaign to get rid of these incapable rulers.

The repeated self-confessions from the prime minister about the failures of his government, he said, were the proof of rulers’ incapability.

The reality was that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf made tall claims to change the destiny of the nation but it proved its incompetence within two years, he said, adding the ruling party deceived the masses and made their life miserable.

He said PTI was the agent of the status quo as it continued with the policies of its predecessors.

He alleged that Imran Khan’s government surrendered Kashmir to New Delhi, destroyed the economy and tarnished the reputation of key institution. He said inflation and unemployment were the trademarks of the present rulers. He said providing further opportunity to these rulers would be fatal for the country. Therefore, he said, the JI had opted to contact the masses to launch a campaign to send these rulers packing.
