LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday dismissed pre-arrest bail petitions of three members of the Ahmadiyya community in a case registered against them on charge of misusing Islamic epithets.
The local police in Nankana Sahib had registered the first information report (FIR) against three persons on a complaint. The report included sections 298-B & C of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The complainant alleged that the suspects had constructed their worship place identical to a mosque, which they could not do under the law.
Previously, a local court in Nankana had denied pre-arrest bail to the suspects after which they approached the high court. However, the high court also dismissed their petitions.
