ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has invited proposals for consultancy services to construct a flyover at the railway lines on Sihala-Kahuta Road.

According to a statement, a 400-metre-long overhead bridge will be constructed in addition to 400-metre-long approach roads on both side of the road.

An amount of Rs300 million has been allocated for the project in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) of the current fiscal year.

The consultant will prepare the engineering design of the project and will also be responsible for construction supervision of the flyover.

Furthermore, the consultant will assist in shifting of services from the vicinity in addition to keeping liaison with Pakistan Railways for obtaining a no-objection certificate (NOC).

People of the area have been demanding construction of a flyover on the road because of traffic problems.
