MARDAN: The Women University Mardan has decided to launch two-year associate degree programme in all its affiliated women colleges from this month.

The decision was taken in the 11th meeting of academic council here on Thursday with Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Ghazala Yasmin in the chair, said a press release.

The associate degree will be initiated in 15 departments of each college depending upon the preexisting departments of that college.

Women University Mardan is also planning to affiliate new women colleges that come under the domain of the university and the process will be completed in the first week of November as per the directives of Higher Education Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the press release says.

The members of the council also approved the proposed courses that were designed for the associated degree programme by each of the faculty.

The 12 agenda items approved in the meeting also included amendments in examination rules, library’s rules and vision and mission of the university.
