Four killed in Haripur

HARIPUR, Jan 19: Four people were killed and nine others sustained injuries in different accidents in the district here.

Malik Saleem, a PML (N) worker, along with his three other friends, was coming back from Abbottabad in his car (LXE-7754), when the car skidded off the road near Paki Dohli, Serai Saleh, due to over-speeding and fell into a deep ditch.

As a result, Saleem and his friend Sheikh Naseer of Mohallah Ramazani died on the spot, while the other two received serious injuries.

In another road accident, seven passengers were injured when two Suzuki pick-ups collided head-on near the Ali Khan village.

SHOT DEAD: One Fazlur Rehman of village Dara Khanpur was shot dead by unknown assailants and his body was thrown in the fields, which was spotted by the villagers. The police recovered the body and started investigation.

Shehzada Khan of village Dingi died when he was ambushed by one Riaz of the same village. He died on the spot.
