KOHAT: An old enmity claimed the lives of four persons of a family when armed men ambushed a car in Nakband area of the Gumbat tehsil here on Sunday.

The police said the car was passing through the Nakband village when armed men opened bursts of fire at it with automatic weapons. All the four inmates of the car died on the spot.

The bodies were taken to the civil hospital where after autopsy they were handed over to the relatives.

The victims were identified as Mekial Khan, Ibraheem Khan, Mujahid Khan and Ameer Ahmed.

The accused fled the scene after committing the murders.

Israfil, a cousin of the deceased, nominated Izzat Khan, Riaz Khan, Mutahir Khan and Hassan in the murder case.

The police have registered the case and was conducting raids for the arrest of killers at imminent hideouts.
