DERA GHAZI KHAN: PML-N Punjab secretary general Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari says his party is working to strengthen democracy as institutions grow robustly under a democratic set-up.

Addressing an anti-government rally here, he said the PML-N did not want a situation in the country like that of 1977.

He said 80pc of ministers of the government were corrupt and inept.

Mr Leghari said unbearable price hike had forced people to turn against the government while Prime Minister Imran Khan was giving orders for the arrest of his political rivals.

He said participation of a large number of people in the protest rally had shown the sentiments and resentment of the public against the government.

Mr Leghari said Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had had failed to develop his native district, contrary to Shahbaz Sharif who had developed Lahore.

Ejaz Ichlana, Malik Bilal khar, Malik Ahmed Hinjra, Aleem Shah and Mehmood Qadir Leghari also addressed the rally.
