RAWALPINDI: Three more Sahulat bazaars were set up in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, taking their total number in the district to 11.

Food items are available in these bazaars at less than the official rates. These bazaars have been set up at Rawal Road, Committee Chowk, Haideri Chowk, Model Bazaar, Chur Chowk and Gulzar-i-Quaid.

Deputy Commissioner Anwarul Haq visited the bazaars on Tuesday and said these were being closely monitored to ensure food items are available to the public at prices lower than the government rates.

He said vegetables, fruits, poultry and groceries have been provided in the bazaars. Vegetables and fruits are available in Sahulat bazaars at Rs5 to Rs10 less than the government rates.
