Ambassador of Yemen Mohammed Motahar Alashabi visited the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) for the first time and met with various members of the executive committee and other members of the chamber.

Ambassador Alashabi said that there are mutual trade opportunities in the tourism and pharmaceutical sectors that Yemen and Pakistan can explore.

He added that Yemen attaches great importance to its relations with Pakistan and there are deep friendly relations between the two countries.

Appreciating the role of the Rawalpindi chamber in promoting trade and business activities, he accepted an invitation to participate in the Winter Tree Planting Drive organized by the RCCI.

RCCI President Nasir Mirza said the chamber is ready for any kind of cooperation including the exchange of delegations and holding of bilateral business conferences.

Bilateral trade can be promoted in the fields of tourism, education, agriculture, information technology and pharmaceuticals and relations between the two countries need to be enhanced at the level of the chamber of commerce, he said.

He added that Yemeni investors can take advantage of investment opportunities in Pakistan.
