PESHAWAR: The vintage car rally which started from Jamrud, Khyber Agency, a day before left for Multan after a grand show in Peshawar on Sunday.

In this connection a colourful show of the 11th annual Vintage and Classic Car Rally-2020 was held at Peshawar Services Club which was participated by a large number of vintage car lovers.

Traditional Khattak dance and music programme were also arranged on the occasion, according to a statement. The event was organised by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA). and the Classic Land Rover.

On reaching Multan, they would join the car racers from Karachi and other cities and then launch the third leg of the journey towards the final destination of Khanpur in Haripur district.

Secretary sports and tourism Mohammad Abid Majeed was chief guest at the ceremony attended by KPCTA director general Kamran Ahmad Afridi, tourism additional secretary Junaid Khan and other officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Abid Majeed said the ongoing tourism projects would usher in a new era of development and employment in the province.

He said abundant natural and cultural heritage assets make KP a preferred destination for both domestic and international tourists. He further said the government was working on four Integrated Tourism Zones (ITZs), including Mankial in Swat, Madaklusht in Chitral, Thandiani in Abbottabad and Mansehra.
