PESHAWAR: Body of physically-challenged minor boy was recovered from fields in Telaband village on the outskirts of the city here on Saturday, the police said.

The incident took place in the limits of Badhber police station.

A police official said the boy having hearing and speech impairment had gone missing on Nov 12, and a case had been registered.

The official said the body was shifted to hospital for autopsy, adding it bore no torture marks.

However, a police statement said the initial medical examination showed that the boy’s abdomen was ruptured.

It said city police chief Mohammad Ali Gandapur visited the area after the body was found and directed police officials to investigate the incident and immediately arrest those behind the gruesome murder.
