ABBOTTABAD: A total of 477 points have been established in Hazara division for the sale of 2,688 metric tons imported sugar on controlled rate of Rs87.5 per kilogramme. The process was being supervised by commissioner, Hazara, Riaz Khan Mehsud.

A total quota of imported sugar for Hazara is 2,688 metric tons, which is being distributed through special points monitored by the respective districts administration and officials of the food department. Monitoring teams constituted by the commissioner also supervise the process.

The sugar is being sold at Rs87.5 per kg at these sale points against the market price of Rs104 per kg.

In addition, other edibles are also being provided at controlled rates at sasta bazaars established by the divisional and respective district administration at Abbottabad, Mansehra and Haripur.

Furthermore, the provincial government in coordination with Utility Stores Corporation will soon launch mobile utility stores in all the districts of Hazara division which would provide essential food items at lower prices.
